Knoxville elections are in odd-numbered years. All terms of office are 4 years. The Primary election is the last Tuesday in September. The General election is the first Tuesday in November.

Knox County Primary elections are the first Tuesday in May. General elections are the first Thursday in August. All are in even-numbered years. All terms of office are 4 years.

Farragut

Town of Farragut
Town of Farragut elections are in odd-numbered years. Terms of office are 4 years. General election is the first Tuesday in April. Beginning in 2014 the election date will move to the first Thursday in August to coincide with the county elections.

Judicial Offices

Terms of office are 8 years. Primary election is the first Tuesday in May; General election is the first Thursday in August.

Four Circuit, three Criminal, one Juvenile, five General Sessions and three Chancery court judges; Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Criminal Court of Appeals judges; District attorney general, public defender: 2014

The Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and Criminal Court of Appeals are retention votes. The judge's name appears on the ballot with the question "Shall this judge be retained?" and the voter chooses Yes or No.

All other judicial elections are contested elections; candidates run against each other.

Clerks of the circuit and criminal courts serve four year terms. Next election is 2010.
