Knoxville City Council

City Council, the legislative body for the City of Knoxville, is composed of nine members. Six representatives are elected from districts and three are elected 'at-large' representing the entire city. The Vice Mayor is selected by City Council from its membership for a two-year term.

City Council meets every other Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Main Assembly Room of the City County Building, 400 Main Ave., in downtown Knoxville.

The Agenda for the meeting is available on-line Friday before the meeting. A Marked Agenda indicating the action taken by City Council on each item is available on-line Thursday following the meeting.
